Today, on World Sight Day, we are celebrating the power of vision by ‘Moving Vision Forward’.

EssilorLuxottica’s World Sight Day 2026 campaign, ‘Moving Vision Forward’ highlights our shared commitment to advancing vision care. We remain focused on expanding comprehensive eye health services, advocating for vision as a global public health, economic and social priority, and developing solutions that can reach more people, particularly in underserved communities.

World Sight Day 2026: action around the world

Our global teams are taking part in World Sight Day through initiatives and employee engagement activities.

Africa: In Nigeria, Rwanda, Zambia, South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Liberia and Malawi, teams are providing glasses, conducting screenings and raising awareness in underserved communities.
North America: Community clinics in Kansas City, Miami and Winston-Salem are providing vision care in partnership with local organizations, reaching children, adults and people experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity.
Europe: Teams in Italy, France, Portugal and Germany are combining community and mobile clinics, and school screenings, to support people with disabilities and other underserved groups.
Asia: In India, vision screenings, glasses donations for children with special needs, community clinics and employee engagement initiatives are taking place. In China, teams are hosting community clinics in Guizhou and a dedicated clinic for older residents in Shanghai.
Latin America: Across the region, teams are combining screening, awareness and partnerships. In Brazil, OneSight is supporting the De Olho nos Olhinhos ("Keeping an Eye on the Eyes") campaign, an initiative supported by the Brazilian Council of Ophthalmology. The campaign raises awareness on the signs and symptoms of retinoblastoma and reinforces the importance of annual eye examinations for all children. Colombia and Mexico are also hosting community clinics and initiatives focused on children’s eye health.

In line with EssilorLuxottica’s mission of Empowering Humans, these initiatives demonstrate the power of local action to drive global change, expanding access to comprehensive vision care today while helping build stronger, more sustainable systems for generations to come.

Happy World Sight Day 2026!
