Recently, the OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation collaborated with Smart FM, a prominent radio network in Indonesia, for a meaningful vision clinic! The vision clinic took place at SDN 01 Cipedak Jagakarsa in South Jakarta to bring the joy of good vision to students in the area, empowering them to see clearly in school and beyond, enabling them to reach their full potential.

The event was themed “Healthy Eyes Indonesia” and EssilorLuxottica employees and volunteers conducted vision screenings and distributed free eyeglasses to the students in need of vision correction.

Excitingly, while beneficiaries spent the day getting their eyes checked, they also enjoyed a variety of speeches from our partners and performances by the students – such as cultural dances and a skit.

The impact of uncorrected poor vision is far-reaching: it can hinder an individual’s ability to perform daily tasks effectively, limit educational opportunities and affect quality of life,” said Peter Tan, Country Manager, EssilorLuxottica Indonesia.

At another city in Indonesia, Hundreds of elementary school students in South Tangerang City received critical care at the vision clinic. These include students from the following schools: SDN Pondok Cabe Udik 1, SDN Pondok Cabe Udik 2, SDN Pondok Cabe Udik 3, SDN Pondok Cabe Ilir 02, SDN Pisangan 02, SD Dharma Karya UT and MI Assadatudawwam.
