In May, OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation volunteers drove more than 1,280 km (795 miles) on some of Australia’s toughest roads to bring services to children in need in the remote Indigenous communities of Hope Vale and Coen. We partnered with CheckUP Australia and Queensland University to ensure that the children at the Cape York Aboriginal Australian Academy Campuses in both of these remote communities, received the quality eye care that all people should receive, no matter where you live.

While in Coen, the team were also able to provide eye care to the students at the community C+K Kindy to make sure there were no issues as the children look to transition into their educational journeys next year.
