Local Clinics (Kenya)
Volunteers will spend a few days working alongside Foundation teams to deliver patient care in a OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation vision clinic within Kenya. The tasks will be to help in patient management during clinics at different sections. In 2023, there will be 3 local clinics that run for 2-3 days.
This will entail: crowd management of attendees, registration of patients, visual acuity, IOPs, auto refraction, fitting and dispensing of R2C, readers, sunglasses, placing lab orders and data entry.
Dates and locations will be communicated well in advance.

World Sight Day 2024 Local Clinic (Kenya)
Volunteers are required to help in patient management during clinics. This will entail queue management, registration of patients, visual acuity taking, IOPs, auto refraction, fitting and dispensing of R2C, readers and placing lab orders.

Training for Vison Centre Launch Support (Kenya)
A volunteer team will be needed to train the Hospital staff on products, inventory management, ordering process, equipment maintenance and logistics as the Foundation prepares to open a Vision Centre.
The Foundation team in Kenya will induct the volunteers on:

<li>Registration Manual</li>
<li>Patient Care Manual</li>
<li>Cashier Manual</li>
<li>Dispensing Manual</li>
<li>Equipment Maintenance</li>
<li>IT Manual – where applicable.</li>
</ol>
Training materials will be provided to the volunteers. Volunteers will also take part in the Vision center equipment and dispensing area set-up.
Volunteers will be provided with a set of T-shirts and a goodie bag as an appreciation for their help.

Local Clinic Volunteering (South Africa)
Volunteers are needed to operationalize the clinic and support at various stations. Volunteer opportunities are available in each of the 9 provinces in South Africa. The team will share a list of dates and locations of the clinic with those registered below and invite volunteers to participate.
Clinic roles could include registration, color and depth test, click check, frame selection and data capturing.

Fundraising Events (South Africa)
Volunteers are required to assist with the planning and implementation of fundraising events. This could include music events, games nights or golf days. Volunteers will perform various duties including logistics, hosting or MC’ing the events amongst others.

Launching Permanent Access Points (South Africa)
Volunteers are required to assist with pre-launch activities, as the Foundation prepares to open Vision Centres in South Africa. Duties may include preparing the Vision Centre for the launch, hosting, or participating in the launch celebration, supporting with logistics, packing stock or hosting important delegates.

Sale For Sight Volunteering (South Africa)
Teams of volunteers are needed to help shoppers and with sale operations at Sale for Sight events throughout the year. Tasks will be restocking tables, organizing the frames, sunglasses and apparel items that will be sold, helping shoppers to choose their items.
All volunteers will be provided with one free pair of eyewear for each shift worked as a thank you for their help! We greatly appreciate your support and hope you will join us!
Inventory Management (South Africa)
Volunteers are required to sort and count stock in the warehouse, label products and create a site map so that products are easy to locate. Please contact your Foundation Country Manager for sign up details.

Skills-based volunteering opportunities are a way for volunteers to utilize their expert skills in IT, Inventory Management, Product, Supply Chain and Operations to assist the Foundation to upgrade systems and program management.

Access Points Opening: Africa Region
Volunteers have the opportunity to join the Africa Foundation team in the launching of permanent, sustainable access points in various countries in Africa. All employees are encouraged to participate in the training of employees in our expansion countries in Africa (Nigeria, Malawi, Uganda, and Tanzania).
Employees may draw on their expertise in product, operations, training, event planning, marketing, and finance to support the success of the launch and long-term operations of the Permanent Access Point.
