Outdoor Activity and Myopia in Singapore Teenage Children

  • 5% of the children were found to have myopia, 4.6% were hypermetropic.

  • Children with myopia were found to participate in significantly less time for total outdoor activities

  • The playing of outdoor sports was also associated with a reduced prevalence of myopia.
